For years, gay men often made trips to retreat to secluded vacation spots, ones where they can be away from the society that was not so tolerable towards them. It was a pilgrimage to a familiar space that provided freedom for gay men to explore their homosexual identity. Private Bungalow was created to convey that feeling of peace and solitude, in finding one’s place of sanctuary.
“Going to a bungalow for vacation for a gay man is like bliss. Like you’re going on this pilgrimage to find yourself, or better yet, let yourself be found by other gay men. You’re able to share your experience and ideas with someone else who shares the same interest, who would be able to understand without judgement of who you are.”
